Primary Guns
The pp-19 Mod Camo and the SCAR-H are great Primary guns for cabin fever.
PP-19 Mod Camo
1. It has an upwards recoil, so if you aim at the middle of the chest of a zombie, within a few shots you’ll probably get a headshot. (I get a headshot about 70% of the time doing this. I have a harder time lining up head shots on zombies that are running, that’s why I aim at the middle of the chest.)
2. It has 65 ammo per clip and has 2 clips. This lets you spray longer before having to reload. (This helps a lot when the zombies get inside the cabin.)
3. It has a built in scope. The scope doesn’t zoom in much, but it does help with more accurate shooting.
4. It is great for guarding any busy area. You can easily hold off a hoard of zombies for a while with it. (It doesn’t handle the tankers very well in my opinion so be careful in the higher lvls.)
If you are not able to get a PP-19 Mod Camo, then get a P90 (Staff Sergeant 2), UZI (Trainee), or a regular PP-19 (Command Sergeant Major 1) (The regular PP-19 does not come with a scope.) and they will work too. (I’m pretty sure their recoil patterns are different that the PP-19. It has been a while since I have used them.)
SCAR-H
Note: Use this gun at the beginning of the round. You want to keep your PP-19 Mod Camo, Regular PP-19, UZI, or P90 in reserve until the start to get to close.
1. It has fairly good accuracy, but the recoil is all over the place so don’t use the PP-19 Mod Camo strategy. (Don’t forget to buy a scope for the SCAR-H!)
2. This gun is meant to spray or shoot in small bursts.
3. It has 30 ammo per clip and has 3 clips.
4. It deals a good amount of damage.
If you are not able to get a SCAR-H, then get an AUG-A1 (Staff Sergeant 1) or a G36E (Sergeant). They will work too and have about the same stats or better but have rank requirements. Try your best to not have to use your m16. It is one of the worst guns for cabin fever.
Secondary Gun
If you want speed and accuracy, then try to get an M1911 Knight’s Gold (No rank requirement). If you want power, use a Desert Eagle (Master Sergeant 3). (If you aren’t high enough rank for these guns its fine. You usually don’t need pistols.)
M1911 Knight’s Gold
1. This pistol has good speed and accuracy.
2. It has 7 ammo per clip and has 3 clips.
3. It is a 3/4 hit kill. (I would aim at the head if you can.)
Desert Eagle
Note: This pistol is slow and has high recoil.
1. This pistol is a 2 hit kill.
2. It has 7 ammo per clip and has 2 clips.
If you are not able to get the m1911 Knight’s Gold or the Desert Eagle, then use your starter pistol. It is fast and accurate. (Aim for the heads.)
Melee
Just use the highest lvl. thing that you have unlocked. (Only if you can afford it. In my opinion, better melee weapons are a waste of GP.) If you have to use a melee weapon then you’re probably going to die anyway.
1. Aim at the head of the zombie.
Support
I recommend using M69HE frag (Sergeant First Class 2).
M69HE Frag
1. It has high damage and I believe it has a wider area of effect. (I know for sure it has higher damage than reg. frag but I’m not sure of the area of effect.)
If you are not able to get the M69HE frag then get mines (no requirement) or use the reg. frag. And they will work too. (Place the mines outside far enough away so that they will not hurt you, or you can place them closer put if a zombie is about to run over it, then get inside quickly.)
Head Gear
I suggest the Ballistic Helmet (Nexon) (no rank requirement) or Force Recon Helmet (GP) (Master Sergeant 4rank).
Ballistic Helmet
1. Stats: Headshot Protection +40%, Speed +5%, Sprint Stamina +20%, and Flash Protection +80% (If you use this you can’t wear face gear.)
2. Yes, I know that you don’t need headshot protection or flash protection in cabin fever, but the speed and stamina help.
Force Recon Helmet
1. Stats: Headshot Protection +30%, Speed +2%, and Sprint Stamina +10%. (If you use this you can wear face gear.)
2. Yes, I know that you don’t need headshot protection in cabin fever, but the speed and stamina help.
Face Gear
I would use either the Chemical Gas Mask (Nexon) (no rank requirement) or the MK3 Gas Mask (GP) (????? rank requirement).
Chemical Gas Mask
1. Stats: Gas Protection 60%
2. Eventually during cabin fever you will have to go outside in the gas. It will help you a lot if you can stay in the gas longer.
MK3 Gas Mask
1. Stats: Gas Protection 45%
2. Eventually during cabin fever you will have to go outside in the gas. It will help you a lot if you can stay in the gas longer.
Vests
Since you want speed in cabin fever, I suggest using either a Recon Vest (Nexon) (no rank requirements) or a Light Vest (GP) (Sergeant First Class 1).
Recon Vest
1. Stats: Protection -10%, Speed +15%
Light Vest
1. Stats Protection -10%, Speed +10%
If you really like having HP, then you can use a Heavy Vest (GP) or an Assault Vest (Nexon).
Mercenary
If you can afford a mercenary, then I would get one, but make sure to get a 2 slot license and either get 1 med kit and 1 auto turret or get 2 med kits.
1 Med Kit and 1 Auto turret Method
1. If you go this route, you will be able to heal your team and yourself, but not as much as with 2 med kits. (Make sure to put one down every round. Put a few inside if you want, but make sure to have a few outside so that you can get to them when you can’t go inside the cabin because the zombies over ran you and they’re all inside.)
2. The auto turret will help you kill a lot of zombies and can warn you if their in the building while you’re concentrating on a door. (It warns you by you hearing it shooting at something in its range.)
3. There are several spots that you need to put your auto turret. (Make sure to put one down each round) Put one at every door if you can. If your playing hard mode put one a little bit away from the basement door. (Far enough away that the first tanker that comes up won’t destroy it instantly.) If you’re playing extreme, don’t forget to put one to guard the attic. If your able to place more because you’re other ones haven’t been destroyed (I don’t really believe that happening) then kudos to you and you can put the rest of your turrets anywhere that will give your team a strategic advantage.
2 Med Kit Method
1. If you go this route, you will be able to heal yourself and your teammates fairly well. (Make sure to put 2 down each round. Put a few inside and a few outside.)
Extra Tips
1. Buy a GP pass and an EXP pass and equip them both.
2. Always play cabin fever on hard or extreme. It will give you much more GP and EXP even if you lose.
3. Don’t shoot out of the windows. If you do the zombies will start running for the doors. (Unless they are really far away.)
4. Post two people at each door. Put the best people at the hardest entrances.
5. If you are in it for quick GP and EXP then get a small group and once you make it to round 3 or 4, die. You will get anywhere between 120 and 250 EXP and GP. (It depends on how many kills and any special kills you got.) It takes between 5-8 min. to do this.
6. Don’t use a flamethrower unless you are by yourself guarding a door, you’re the last person, or you are outside. Flamethrowers make it harder for the other players to see and aim.
